Welcome to  Campbell Maths Tutoring

I’m Colin, a GCSE and A Level maths teacher with 14 years in the classroom, based in the East Sussex countryside. I love helping students go from “I can’t do this” to “I’ve got it,” and I build lessons that feel calm, clear, and purposeful.

I’m naturally curious. When my kids got obsessed with dinosaurs, I ended up in Canada hunting for fossils. I bring that same curiosity into lessons so students explore ideas, not just memorise steps. I grew up sailing and still race and cruise when I can. More recently I took up running, which reminds me that steady goals and honest feedback beat quick fixes.

My sessions are fully interactive. I use shared interactive workbooks so students talk through their thinking and write every step. I believe this beats passive, worksheet-only tutoring because it surfaces misconceptions in real time, turns explanations into practice, and builds genuine confidence for the exam hall.

I hold QTS and an enhanced DBS. I’d love to help your child with structured, fully interactive lessons that work.
